Minnesota bass player Billy Peterson has played with, just to name a few folks, Ben Sidran, Steve Miller, Bob Rockwell, Bob Dylan, David Hazeltine, Bill Carrothers, Kenny Horst, and many others.

He is a member of a famous family of musicians that includes brothers Ricky and St. Paul, sisters Linda and Patty, and mother Jeanne Arland.


Recognized as the Best Jazz Artist as by CityPages' "Best of the Twin Cities 2005"!


Billy is currently the musical director for the international company "Megabien."

This company produces a variety of events including international artists and television shows. The company just completed a pilot for the Cookin' n' Music show on the island of Porqerolles in the South of France. This show featured The Soul Man himself, Sam Moore of "Sam & Dave" fame. This is the pilot episode of 26 shows that will be shot internationally and be distributed all over the world.

In conjunction with the Megabien company, Billy is gearing up to produce a series of jazz shows shot in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, featuring internationally renowned jazz artists.


He is also currently preparing to go out on the road once again with the "Gangster of Love himself" Steve Miller. Steve Miller Band will be touring this spring and throughout the summer. Look for Billy's Steve Miller Band dates at stevemillerband.com.

In August, The Steve Miller Band and special guest Cheryl Crow were the band selected by Lance Armstrong to help celebrate his homecoming victory celebration of his sixth Tour de France victory. Cheryl sat in with the Steve Miller Band and the Jam was "ON"! There was over one hundred thousand people in attendance in front of the Capital in Austin.
